Hello, I’m Matt Carpenter! I am a Photographer/Editor for WNYT NewsChannel 13, where I shoot and edit a variety of content for television. I am pursuing a career in film and video editing, and have experience with video production in addition to post-production editing.

I am an Avid Media Composer Certified User and have proficient knowledge and experience with Adobe Premiere Pro. I am also an Adobe Certified Professional in After Effects and Photoshop. I have a wide variety of experience in video editing, ranging from narrative pieces, both fiction and non-fiction, to short form-social content, to promotional videos. My latest project, A List Of Towns, is a short film that was nominated for Best Editing of the year by Top Shorts in 2026, awarded Best Editing by Top Shorts in December 2024, as well as an Honorable Mention from Independent Shorts Awards in the category of Best Editing.
